Allay Spawn Egg is a Creative-mode and command-only item in Minecraft that spawns an Allay where you aim it. The Allay Spawn Egg is blue with darker blue spots, matching the small flying Allay mob it produces. You cannot craft the Allay Spawn Egg or find it in Survival; it appears only in the Creative inventory or through the /give @s minecraft:allay_spawn_egg command in both Java and Bedrock Edition. The Allay itself was added in Minecraft 1.19, the Wild Update, after winning the Minecraft Live 2021 mob vote.

When you use the Allay Spawn Egg on a block face, it spawns a passive Allay that immediately starts following you. Hand the Allay any item and it will fly out to collect matching dropped items, then bring the duplicates back to you or to the nearest note block that recently played a sound. Allay Spawn Egg is the fastest way for builders and redstone engineers to test item-sorting contraptions, since releasing a real Allay from a pillager outpost or woodland mansion cage takes far longer. Allays love amethyst and can be duplicated by handing an Amethyst Shard to one dancing beside a jukebox.
