Description

Spruce Fence is a dark wooden barrier block crafted from four Spruce Planks and two Sticks on a crafting table, yielding three fence blocks per recipe. The deep chocolate-brown tone matches the colour of spruce wood found in taiga, snowy taiga, and grove biomes, letting Spruce Fence blend seamlessly into northern-style builds. Spruce Fence connects automatically to other fence blocks and most solid blocks, forming a 1.5-block-tall wall that players and most mobs cannot jump over. Players and most mobs cannot leap over a Spruce Fence because the hitbox stands one and a half blocks tall, the standard Minecraft fence collision rule. Spruce Fence burns in fire and lava like every wooden block and serves as fuel in a furnace, smelting 1.5 items per block.

Frequently asked questions

How do you craft Spruce Fence in Minecraft?

Place four Spruce Planks and two Sticks on a crafting table. Arrange the planks in the left and right columns and the sticks in the middle column across the bottom two rows, and the recipe yields three Spruce Fence blocks.

Can mobs jump over Spruce Fence?

No. Spruce Fence is 1.5 blocks tall, so players and most mobs cannot jump over it. Only a few mobs like horses can leap the gap, and spiders still climb the side walls.

Does Spruce Fence burn in Minecraft?

Yes. Spruce Fence is a wooden block, so Spruce Fence catches fire from lava or flame and works as furnace fuel that smelts 1.5 items per block.

Where do you find spruce wood for Spruce Fence?

Spruce trees grow in taiga, snowy taiga, old-growth taiga, and grove biomes. Chop the trunk to gather spruce logs, then craft the logs into Spruce Planks.

Does Spruce Fence connect to Spruce Fence Gate?

Yes. Spruce Fence automatically connects to adjacent fence gates, other wood fence blocks, and most full solid blocks, forming a continuous barrier without gaps.

What is the blast resistance of Spruce Fence?

Spruce Fence has a blast resistance of 2.5, matching every other wooden fence in Minecraft, so creepers and TNT break Spruce Fence easily.
