Description
Soul Campfire is crafted with the same recipe as the regular variant — three sticks, three logs, one coal or charcoal — but with a soul soil or soul sand block at the centre instead of regular fuel. The result burns with characteristic cyan-blue flames instead of orange, the same colour palette as soul torches and lanterns. Cooking, light, and smoke functions all work identically to the regular version.
Two properties make this device tactically valuable. First, piglins actively flee from soul fire — placing this block near a Nether base creates a passive defence zone where piglins refuse to wander. Second, the damage dealt to entities standing on it is doubled, two damage points per tick instead of one, making it a significantly more effective passive trap. The light level drops to ten compared to the regular fifteen, slightly dimmer but still adequate for most builds — a tradeoff that suits the haunted aesthetic.
