Raw Silver
Raw Silver is the pickaxe drop from silver ore in Ala Industrial; smelt it into an ingot or macerate it into two dust to double the yield.
Description
Two routes turn Raw Silver into workable metal. Smelt it directly in a furnace or blast furnace for one silver ingot and 0.7 experience, or grind it in a Macerator for two silver dust at 300 EU — then smelt each dust into an ingot to double the yield per ore. Silver ingots feed the Electronic Circuit, and through it nearly every LV machine and generator, plus the item pipe, silver chest, and silver gear. Because silver is a finite, non-renewable resource, the Macerator route is the standard way to stretch every vein.

Ala Industrial Guide
How to process Raw Silver in Ala Industrial
-
1
Mine the silver ore
Break silver ore with a stone pickaxe or better to drop one Raw Silver per block. Wood and gold pickaxes yield nothing.
-
2
Pick a processing route
A furnace or blast furnace smelts one Raw Silver into one silver ingot. A Macerator grinds one Raw Silver into two silver dust for 300 EU.
-
3
Smelt the dust for double yield
Each silver dust smelts into one silver ingot, so the Macerator route returns two ingots per ore instead of one.
-
4
Spend the silver ingots
Silver ingots craft the Electronic Circuit, the item pipe, the silver chest, the silver gear, the electric furnace, and the sawmill.
Silver ore is non-renewable, so the Macerator doubling is the standard way to stretch a limited vein.

Frequently asked questions
How do you get Raw Silver in Ala Industrial?
Mine silver ore with a stone pickaxe or better. Each ore drops one Raw Silver; Fortune increases the drop count, and Silk Touch returns the ore block instead.
What is the best way to process Raw Silver?
Run it through a Macerator to get two silver dust for 300 EU, then smelt each dust into an ingot. This doubles your yield versus smelting the Raw Silver directly.
Can you smelt Raw Silver in a normal furnace?
Yes. A furnace or blast furnace smelts one Raw Silver into one silver ingot and grants 0.7 experience, with no machine required.
Is Raw Silver renewable?
No. Silver ore is a finite world resource in Ala Industrial, so the Macerator doubling matters for stretching limited veins.
What is silver used for in Ala Industrial?
Silver ingots craft the Electronic Circuit, which feeds nearly every LV machine and generator, plus the item pipe, silver chest, silver gear, electric furnace, and sawmill.
