Description
Nether Bricks are crafted from four nether brick items (smelted from netherrack in any furnace) arranged in a 2×2 square on the crafting grid, producing one block per recipe. The texture is a deep crimson with darker mortar lines between tightly-packed rectangular bricks, instantly recognizable from the standard wood-and-cobble palette of Overworld builds.
The defining property is fireproofing. The block does not catch fire under any circumstance — even direct lava contact leaves it untouched — making it the premier flooring and walling material for any Nether-side base. It also shrugs off ghast fireballs significantly better than netherrack, offering useful blast resistance against the dimension's most common ranged threat. The block generates naturally as the foundation of Nether fortresses, the linear ruined structures that house blaze spawners and wither skeletons. The full family of slabs, stairs, walls, and a fence variant is available.
