Description

Nether Brick Stairs are the sloped, walkable variant of Nether Bricks that generates naturally in nether fortress staircases. The crafting recipe turns six Nether Bricks into four Nether Brick Stairs: three bricks across the bottom row of the grid, two bricks on the left of the middle row, and one brick in the top-left cell. A stonecutter cuts one Nether Bricks block into one Nether Brick Stairs, a 1:1 alternative for odd-numbered builds. Any pickaxe harvests both crafted and naturally generated Nether Brick Stairs, and a wooden pickaxe is the lowest tool tier that works.

Nether Brick Stairs give bridges, roof edges, and grand staircases a dark red trim that reads as one texture with Nether Bricks walls. Nether Brick Stairs are not flammable and survive direct lava contact, so the trim lines fireplaces and lava falls safely. Builders alternate Nether Brick Stairs and solid Nether Bricks in bands for fortress walls that climb smoothly from wall to walkway.
