Description

The Transformation Chip is one of the three mutation chips that set an Ala Industrial Incubator's mode, alongside the Creation and Duplication chips. Slotted into the Incubator, the Transformation Chip switches the machine to transform mode, which trades one input item for a different but equal-worth one — lapis lazuli for redstone, quartz for glowstone, coal for charcoal, or one sapling, flower, or soil for another around its ring. Every transform recipe shares the same numbers: a 0.75 (75%) success chance, a 300-tick (15-second) cycle, and a 2400 EU cost drawn from the Incubator's 8000 EU buffer. On a failure the input is lost and one irradiation charge burns. The chip itself is never consumed; it only tells the machine what to do, so a single Transformation Chip works forever.

The Transformation Chip is crafted on a crafting table from an empty chip flanked by redstone and lapis lazuli, with a uranium plate at the base — a deliberate gate, because the plate demands the nuclear branch (uranium ore to ingot to plate) before mutations unlock. The chip occupies the Incubator's top-left slot; without any chip the machine will not start. Swapping the chip mid-run resets the current attempt, so change modes between runs. Hoppers and pipes can push a chip into the slot but cannot pull it back out, so the installed mode is a build-time choice. Each uranium ingot fueling the Incubator buys three attempts before burning out into depleted uranium. The Transformation Chip is built for Minecraft 26.2 on Fabric or NeoForge.

How to use the Transformation Chip in an Ala Industrial Incubator

    Craft the chip

    On a crafting table, place an empty chip in the center, redstone to its left and lapis lazuli to its right, then a uranium plate below. The uranium plate gates the recipe behind the nuclear branch, so process uranium ore into a plate first.

    Install it in the Incubator

    Place the Transformation Chip in the Incubator's top-left chip slot. The machine runs only with a chip installed, and this one sets it to transform mode for equal-worth trades.

    Fuel with uranium and supply EU

    Put a uranium ingot in the fuel slot — one ingot funds three attempts — and feed the Incubator from an LV network. A transform cycle costs 2400 EU over 300 ticks, 15 seconds, at 8 EU per tick.

    Run an equal-worth trade

    Place an input item that has a transform recipe, such as lapis lazuli or a sapling, in the input slot. On the 75% success chance you receive the paired item; on failure the input is lost and one charge is spent.

Heads up

Swapping the chip mid-cycle resets the current attempt, so change modes only between runs. Hoppers can push a chip in but never pull it back out, and the chip itself is never consumed.
