Minecart is the basic rail vehicle, crafted from five iron ingots for transport and automation.

Description
Minecart uses five iron ingots in a U-shaped crafting recipe, creating the base vehicle for every rail system. Placed on track, it carries players, mobs, or can be pushed empty through stations and farms. It rolls faster on powered rails, slows on flat unpowered lines, and follows slopes, curves, and junctions made from ordinary track.
The vehicle also acts as a crafting ingredient for specialised variants: storage carts, hopper carts, TNT carts, and other transport tools depending on version. Survival builders use it for villager relocation, mine access, item movement, roller coasters, and compact redstone timing. Because it can be broken and picked up quickly, temporary transport lines remain practical even in early bases.
