Planting one on end stone begins a new tree-like growth cycle where the plant randomly spreads upward and outward, terminating each branch with another flower or dying naturally. Harvesting a mature flower resets that branch while the supporting stems remain, allowing continuous replanting.

Chorus fruit has a unique teleportation mechanic: eating one moves the player up to eight blocks in any horizontal or vertical direction, bypassing most obstacles. This makes chorus plant farms useful for elytra landing recovery and emergency repositioning. Smelting chorus fruit yields popped chorus fruit, the crafting ingredient for purpur blocks and end rods — two of the few End-exclusive decorative materials. Flowers and fruit drop readily from any tool or even a bare hand, making harvesting quick once the farm is established.
