Description
End Rod is crafted from one popped chorus fruit and one blaze rod stacked vertically in the crafting grid, producing four rods per recipe. The block is a slim white pillar with a soft glowing tip and a steady stream of small white particles drifting upward — visually closer to a magical fixture than a torch. It places on any side of any block and rotates to match: floor placement gives an upright rod, ceiling placement gives a downward-pointing one, and wall placement gives a horizontal protrusion.
The light emission is fourteen, one less than glowstone but enough to suppress all hostile mob spawning in a roughly seven-block radius. Most builders prefer end rods over torches in finished interiors because the slim profile reads as architectural lighting rather than caveman fire — perfect for libraries, throne rooms, magical workshops, and modern minimalist builds. The block also generates naturally in end cities, often as accent lighting along corridor edges. Unlike torches, end rods are not extinguished by water and can be placed on any block face without restriction.
