Description
Tuff became a complete decorative stone family in Minecraft 1.21. Crafting four raw blocks yields four Polished Tuff, while a stonecutter converts each one into polished, stair, and wall variants or a pair of slabs. Polished Tuff leads to bricks and chiseled variants. Tuff’s mottled dark grey and green-grey texture bridges smooth andesite, rough deepslate, and copper details, suiting cave entrances, fortress foundations, industrial floors, and weathered ruins.

Explore the deepslate layer below Y=0, where Tuff generates in natural blobs. Large iron ore veins between Y=-60 and Y=-8 can also be surrounded by Tuff.

Mine with any pickaxe
Break Tuff with a wooden pickaxe or any stronger pickaxe to collect the block itself. Mining Tuff without a pickaxe produces no drop.
