Description
Smooth Stone is the result of smelting regular stone a second time in a furnace — the first smelt converts cobblestone into stone, and a second pass strips the stone's visible texture pattern further into a uniform pale grey surface. The block has no crafting recipe; the only way to obtain it is through the furnace, requiring fuel and idle wait time per block.
Beyond decoration, this material has one critical functional role: three smooth stone blocks form the bottom row of the blast furnace recipe (with five iron ingots above and a furnace in the centre), making it a required intermediate for any player wanting to upgrade ore-smelting throughput.
