How to use a Skeleton Spawn Egg in Minecraft
-
1
Get the spawn egg
Open the Creative inventory and search 'skeleton', or in Survival run /give @s minecraft:skeleton_spawn_egg to put the egg in your hotbar.
-

Spawn a skeleton
Aim at the top of a solid block and right-click. One skeleton appears instantly on that surface, ready to attack.
-
3
Reprogram a spawner
Right-click a Monster Spawner with the egg to make it spawn skeletons instead of its default mob.
-
4
Test your farm
Kill the skeletons and confirm your collection system gathers the dropped bones and arrows.
Spawn eggs are not craftable and only available in Creative or through commands; the egg works only on valid spawn surfaces.
