Red Stained Glass Pane is the red variant of the stained glass pane, a dyed thin transparent block added to Minecraft in Java Edition 1.7.2 and Bedrock Edition 1.0.0. Six blocks of red stained glass craft into 16 Red Stained Glass Panes, and since Java Edition 1.14 a second recipe turns 8 glass panes plus 1 red dye into 8 Red Stained Glass Panes. Red Stained Glass Pane has a hardness of 0.3, a blast resistance of 0.3 (resistance to creeper and TNT explosions), and stacks up to 64 items. A tool enchanted with Silk Touch (an enchantment that makes blocks drop themselves) is required to harvest Red Stained Glass Pane, because any other way of breaking leaves no drop, and every tool breaks stained glass panes at the same speed. Savanna village temples generate Red Stained Glass Pane naturally beside orange panes of the same shape.

Windows built from Red Stained Glass Pane can reach up to 267% (2⅔ times) of the area of windows built from the same stained glass placed as solid blocks, because one block of red stained glass converts into 2⅔ panes. Standing alone, Red Stained Glass Pane forms a slim vertical post, while neighbouring panes and solid blocks stretch the pane into flat planes, corners, T-junctions and crossings, with a collision box that always matches the visible shape. Red Stained Glass Pane never lies horizontally, can share its block space with water (waterlogging), and cannot lock a map the way regular glass panes do. Beacon beams change colour when shining through Red Stained Glass Pane, and torches can sit on the pane since Java Edition 1.14.3. Both crafting recipes list Red Stained Glass Pane as a decoration block for scarlet church windows.
