Description

Red Concrete Powder is the red variant of concrete powder, one of sixteen dye-colored blocks that obey gravity and harden into concrete on contact with water. A shapeless crafting recipe turns 4 sand, 4 gravel, and 1 red dye into 8 Red Concrete Powder. Like sand, Red Concrete Powder falls whenever the block directly beneath is non-solid, so powder released above a pool drops into the water and hardens on arrival. A shovel breaks Red Concrete Powder fastest, any tool or a bare hand also works, and one stack holds 64 blocks.

Contact with water solidifies Red Concrete Powder into Red Concrete: the conversion covers powder placed into, placed next to, or falling into flowing water, a water source block, or a waterlogged block in Java Edition. Rain, splash water bottles, and lava never trigger the change, and Red Concrete Powder lying on the ground as a dropped item never converts. Every ingredient renews — gravel through piglin bartering, sand through wandering trader trades — so Red Concrete Powder counts as a renewable resource. For flat red walls and clean modern rooflines, place Red Concrete Powder above still water and let gravity turn each falling block into Red Concrete.

How to Make Red Concrete in Minecraft

    Craft Red Concrete Powder

    Combine 4 sand, 4 gravel, and 1 red dye on a crafting grid. The shapeless recipe produces 8 Red Concrete Powder whatever positions the ingredients take.

    Dig a pool and fill the bottom with water. Flowing water and water source blocks both count as solidification triggers.
