Description

Polished Diorite is the refined version of raw diorite, crafted by arranging 4 Diorite blocks in a 2×2 grid to yield 4 Polished Diorite at a one-to-one ratio; a stonecutter converts 1 Diorite into 1 Polished Diorite in single-block increments. The polished surface removes the dark speckles of raw diorite in favour of a smooth, uniform off-white finish — the brightest natural stone surface available without dyeing concrete or terracotta.

Polished Diorite shares raw diorite's hardness of 1.5, blast resistance of 6.0, and mining requirements: a wooden pickaxe is the minimum tool, and Silk Touch is not needed. At a stonecutter, Polished Diorite converts into Polished Diorite Slabs, Polished Diorite Stairs, and Polished Diorite Walls, completing a full decorative stone kit. Builders pair Polished Diorite with bone blocks for crisp ivory contrast, with quartz pillars for marble-style columns, with stripped birch logs for Scandinavian interiors, or with andesite for clean two-tone modular architecture.

How to craft and use Polished Diorite in Minecraft
