Description

Orange Carpet is a thin wool rug with a hitbox of just 1/16 of a block — the visual thickness of a pressure plate — and two orange wool placed side by side on the crafting grid yield three carpets. Orange Carpet generates naturally in savanna villages, together with white and red carpets, and shepherd villagers sell carpets. Orange Carpet breaks instantly with any tool or with bare hands, and shears mine no faster, unlike wool. Orange Carpet is flammable like wool, burns away in lava, and stacks to 64, and no mob ever spawns on the thin surface.

Light passes through Orange Carpet undiminished, so a rug laid over a light-emitting block in the floor keeps the room bright while hiding the source. Orange Carpet on top of a fence or wall becomes a step players jump onto, while animals and mobs refuse to cross the barrier. Llamas wear Orange Carpet in the carpet slot as a patterned rug, and a dispenser equips llamas automatically. For a mob-safe floor that stays bright, Orange Carpet covers lighting, decoration, and barriers in one block.
