Jetpack
The Jetpack is a worn chest-slot EU flight device from Ala Industrial — hold jump to thrust at 50 EU/tick and glide softly when the 30,000 EU buffer drains.
Description
Crafting the Jetpack takes a full 3x3 workbench and is the priciest recipe in the mod — an Energy Pack at the center, two Batteries beside it, an Electronic Circuit on top, iron in the top corners, and two tin ingots around a Copper Coil at the bottom. The pack charges in a Battery Box slot or from a carried Energy Pack at the LV ceiling of 32 EU/tick. Out of charge mid-flight — or above the altitude ceiling of Y=320 — the same held jump turns into a free powerless glide that caps the fall at 0.3 blocks/tick for a soft, damage-free landing, but only if the engine actually fired during this flight. The Jetpack is not vanilla armor: no durability, no enchantments, no repair; it still grants 5 armor points through an attribute modifier.

How to use the Jetpack in Minecraft
-
1
Craft the Jetpack on a 3x3 workbench
Place an Energy Pack in the center, a Battery on each side, an Electronic Circuit on top, iron ingots in the top corners, and two tin ingots around a Copper Coil across the bottom row.
-
2
Charge it in a Battery Box slot
The Jetpack has no durability and recharges only with EU. Drop it into the Battery Box charge slot at up to 32 EU/tick (the LV ceiling) until the 30,000 EU buffer is full.
-
3
Equip it in the chest slot and jump
The Jetpack occupies the chest slot instead of armor. Hold the jump key while airborne — the engine thrusts upward at 50 EU/tick for about 30 seconds of flight on a full charge.
-
4
Keep holding jump for a safe landing
If the buffer runs out or you pass the Y=320 altitude ceiling, the same held jump glides you down at 0.3 blocks/tick for a soft, damage-free landing — but only if the engine fired during this flight.
The Jetpack's glide engages only after the engine has thrust during the current flight. Letting go of jump mid-air is a normal, damaging fall — hold it all the way down.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Jetpack give armor?
Yes. The Jetpack grants 5 armor points through an attribute modifier — one point under an iron chestplate's 6 — even though it is not vanilla armor and has no durability or enchantments.
How long does a full charge last?
The 30,000 EU buffer burns at 50 EU/tick, which gives roughly 30 seconds of continuous thrust. Gliding and idling are free.
Can I charge the Jetpack from other mods?
Yes. The Jetpack accepts energy from the loader's item energy capability (Team Reborn Energy on Fabric, FE on NeoForge), insert-only, at 1 EU = 1 FE.
Can I wear the Jetpack with an elytra?
No. The Jetpack and the elytra occupy the same chest slot and are never worn together — compatibility is an honest either-or.
What happens if I run out of EU mid-flight?
If the engine already fired during this flight, holding jump turns into a free powerless glide that caps the fall at 0.3 blocks/tick for a soft, damage-free landing. Releasing jump mid-air is a normal damaging fall.
Is the Jetpack enchantable?
No. The Jetpack has no durability and no ENCHANTABLE component, so Unbreaking and Mending do not apply. Repair means recharging EU.
