Description

Flint and Steel is crafted from one iron ingot and one flint, creating a durable ignition tool. Its most famous use is lighting Nether portals after the obsidian frame is built. It also places fire on valid blocks, ignites TNT directly, lights camp-style decorations, and removes forests or wooden structures when used carefully.

The tool is simple but risky. Fire spreads according to nearby materials and game rules, so careless use can destroy bases, villages, and farms. In controlled hands, it supports mob traps, fireplace details, portal networks, and emergency survival. Durability drops with each ignition, but repair or replacement is cheap once iron and gravel are available.
