How to make and use a Diamond Axe in Minecraft
-
1
Gather the materials
Mine 3 diamonds with an iron or diamond pickaxe and craft 2 sticks from any planks.
-
2
Craft the axe
Place 3 diamonds across the top-left L-shape and 2 sticks down the middle column of a crafting table to make one Diamond Axe.
-
3
Chop and strip wood
Hold the axe and break logs or planks for faster mining, or right-click a log to strip its bark.
-
4
Enchant for longevity
Add Efficiency V and Unbreaking III at an enchanting table or anvil to mine faster and make the axe last longer.
In combat the Diamond Axe deals 9 damage but swings slower than a sword; use it to disable a shielded opponent rather than for rapid attacks.
