Description

Deepslate Silver Ore is the deepslate-hosted form of the mod Ala Industrial's rare silver for Minecraft 26.2 (Java Edition, Fabric or NeoForge): below Y 0, where stone gives way to deepslate, silver's size-7 veins appear in their darker host rock — roughly four veins per chunk across the Y -32 to Y 30 band, deeper and noticeably rarer than tin. Deepslate Silver Ore takes longer to break than the stone variant, hardness 4.5 against 3.0, but a stone pickaxe or better is still enough: wooden and golden pickaxes shatter the block with no drop. A plain pickaxe drops one raw silver per block, Fortune multiplies the yield, and Silk Touch saves the ore block itself for machine processing.

The silver inside Deepslate Silver Ore is identical to the stone variant's, and both processing routes apply: a furnace or blast furnace smelts the ore block or its raw silver into a single silver ingot, while the Macerator grinds either form into 2 silver dust for 300 EU and the Electric Furnace melts each dust into an ingot for 200 EU — double the yield from the same vein. The mod's LV tier (low voltage, up to 32 EU per tick) already runs on this silver: the electronic circuit costs a silver ingot and then builds the generator, macerator, pump and solar panel, with more silver flowing into the item pipe, silver chest, silver gear, stock display frame, electric furnace and sawmill. The level-2 Industrialist villager buys 3 silver ingots for 1 emerald but never sells silver, so treat every Deepslate Silver Ore vein as finite: macerate the blocks instead of furnace-smelting them.

How to mine Deepslate Silver Ore in Minecraft 26.2

  1. 1

    Dig below Y 0

Silver in Ala Industrial generates between Y -32 and Y 30, and the deepslate form appears once stone turns to deepslate below Y 0. Descend into that darker layer with a pickaxe ready.

  2. 2

Break it with a stone pickaxe or better

Deepslate Silver Ore has hardness 4.5, so it breaks slower than the stone variant, but a stone pickaxe is enough. Wooden and golden pickaxes destroy the block with no drop.

  3. 3

Harvest with Fortune or Silk Touch

A plain pickaxe drops one raw silver per block, Fortune multiplies the drop, and Silk Touch saves the ore block itself — the form the Macerator accepts directly.

  4. 4

    Grind instead of smelting

The Macerator turns the ore block or the raw silver into 2 silver dust for 300 EU, doubling what a furnace would give from the same block.

  5. 5

    Smelt the dust into ingots

Each silver dust melts into a silver ingot in the Electric Furnace for 200 EU. The ingots feed the electronic circuit, silver gear and silver chest of the LV tier.

Deepslate vs stone variant

Deepslate Silver Ore holds the same silver as Silver Ore — only the host rock, the spawn depth and the 4.5 hardness differ. Drops, Fortune behaviour and processing are identical.

Frequently asked questions

What pickaxe do you need for Deepslate Silver Ore?

A stone pickaxe or better. Wooden and golden pickaxes break the block but drop nothing, and the 4.5 hardness makes Deepslate Silver Ore slower to mine than the stone variant.

Where does Deepslate Silver Ore generate?

Below Y 0, in the deepslate layer of Minecraft 26.2 worlds. Silver veins run from Y -32 to Y 30 in size-7 veins, roughly four per chunk — deeper and rarer than tin.

Is Deepslate Silver Ore different from regular Silver Ore?

Only in the host rock. Deepslate Silver Ore carries the same silver, drops the same raw silver, and feeds the same recipes; the differences are depth, the darker look and hardness 4.5 against 3.0.

Can you smelt Deepslate Silver Ore directly?

Yes. A furnace or blast furnace turns the ore block into one silver ingot. The Macerator route — 2 dust, then the Electric Furnace — gets two ingots from the same block.

How do you double silver from Deepslate Silver Ore?

Grind the ore block or its raw silver in the Macerator for 300 EU to get 2 silver dust, then smelt each dust in the Electric Furnace for 200 EU. One block becomes two ingots.

Is Deepslate Silver Ore renewable?

No. It only appears in world generation, and the level-2 Industrialist villager buys silver ingots for emeralds but never sells them, so every vein is finite.
