Description
Azalea is a small bush block that generates inside lush cave biomes and on the surface above them — its appearance on grass usually indicates a lush cave directly below, which makes it a useful indicator for cave-spelunking expeditions. The texture shows compact dark-green leaves with small pink-red blossoms scattered through. The plant can be placed on grass, dirt, podzol, mycelium, moss, rooted dirt, or coarse dirt — the same substrates that accept saplings.
The most useful interaction is bone-mealing: applying bone meal to a placed bush triggers it to grow into a full azalea tree, with a stout oak-like trunk and a canopy of azalea leaves. If the bush was planted on a dirt-family block above stone or deepslate, the growth also generates a small lush cave directly beneath the tree — converting the underground into the colourful biome with moss, glow berries, and pink petals. This makes azalea both decoration and a tool for sculpting underground ecosystems wherever the player wants them. The block is harvestable by hand and stacks normally in inventory.
