Description

Azalea Leaves grow on top of azalea bushes, which generate at the surface entrance of Lush Cave biomes. Because the root system of the azalea tree always points downward into the lush cave below, finding these distinctive pink-flowered leaves on the surface is a reliable method for locating the biome. Players dig straight down beneath the bush — following a column of rooted dirt blocks — until reaching the moss-covered cave with spore blossoms, glow berries, and dripleaf plants.

The leaves themselves behave like other leaf types: they decay when separated from connected log blocks and can be collected with shears. Unlike flowering azalea leaves, plain azalea leaves have no flowers but share the same indicator function. Both variants can be grown by applying bone meal to an azalea bush, allowing players to farm their own Lush Cave surface markers for replanting or aesthetic decoration in warm, green-themed builds.
