Yellow Wool Slab is a half-height slab cut from wool, one of sixteen wool colors that received slab variants in Java Edition 26.3. Three blocks of yellow wool placed in one crafting-table row yield six Yellow Wool Slabs, and any wool slab accepts a new dye, so a wrong color never goes to waste. Shears break Yellow Wool Slab faster than any other tool, though any tool also works in a pinch. Yellow Wool Slab stacks to 64 with same-color slabs only, has a hardness of 0.8, and resists explosions weakly: a blast resistance of 0.8 on Java Edition and 0.16 on Bedrock Edition.

Yellow Wool Slab also inherits the acoustic trick of wool: a sculk sensor behind a wool slab detects nothing on the far side, sculk sensors never register walking, sprinting, or jumping on wool slabs, and the Warden is just as blind to activity on wool. Two same-color slabs merge into one full block, a slab set inside a water source becomes waterlogged, and in Java Edition four slabs fuel exactly one smelting operation in a furnace. Fire is the weak spot: flames cross the wool with flammability 30, and nearby lava can set the wool alight; for sun-yellow floors, softened staircases, and half-height accent stripes, Yellow Wool Slab delivers the wool texture without a full block of height.
