Description

Waxed Weathered Copper is made by using a Honeycomb on a Weathered Copper block, which locks the copper at that stage so it never advances to fully Oxidized Copper. Weathered Copper reaches a green color with brown spots as it ages, and Waxed Weathered Copper freezes that look permanently once waxed. Waxed Weathered Copper needs a Stone Pickaxe or better to mine, since anything weaker drops nothing, and it stacks to 64 per slot without catching fire in lava or flames.

Running Waxed Weathered Copper through a stonecutter turns one block into four Waxed Weathered Cut Copper blocks, eight matching slabs, or four matching stairs, so trim and roofing pieces cost nothing extra. Scraping Waxed Weathered Copper with an axe removes only the wax and returns it to plain Weathered Copper, which then resumes normal weathering toward Oxidized Copper. Builders pick Waxed Weathered Copper when a roof or dome should look mid-aged forever, without the random oxidation timing that unwaxed copper blocks go through.
