Waxed Oxidized Copper Grate is the fully weathered, honeycomb-treated version of the Copper Grate, reached either by applying a Honeycomb to an Oxidized Copper Grate on the crafting grid or by generating naturally inside trial chambers. Copper Grate itself comes from four Oxidized Copper Blocks arranged in a cross pattern on the crafting grid, which yields four Oxidized Copper Grates, or from stonecutting one Oxidized Copper Block into four. At the oxidized stage the perforated panel turns teal with scattered green spots, and coating it with honeycomb keeps that oxidized look permanent, since oxidation stops advancing once the wax is applied.

Waxed Oxidized Copper Grate does not conduct redstone, and mobs cannot spawn on top of it, while waterlogging it adds a submerged look for aquariums and canals. Stacks of up to 64 fit in a single inventory slot, and only a stone pickaxe or better drops the block when mined; breaking it with anything weaker destroys it without a drop. Builders lean on Waxed Oxidized Copper Grate for weathered industrial catwalks, ship decks, and greenhouse floors, since two identical grates placed side by side turn invisible when viewed through each other, opening sightlines that solid blocks cannot match. Java Edition 1.21 and Bedrock Edition 1.21.0 made the whole Copper Grate family a standard block, so no experimental toggle is needed to place it in survival worlds today.
