Waxed Copper Door is a Copper Door waxed with Honeycomb, stopping oxidation (the slow color change copper undergoes) so its bright orange tone never fades.
Description
Waxed Copper Door opens and closes like any other door, responding to a redstone signal, a player's click, or the wind burst of a thrown Wind Charge. Villagers, piglins, and copper golems can open a Waxed Copper Door on their own, and so can vindicators in Java Edition. On Hard difficulty, vindicators and any zombie that spawned with door-breaking ability — including some drowned — can smash a closed Waxed Copper Door, so a copper door alone will not fully wall out hostile mobs on that setting. Waxed Copper Door never oxidizes, keeping a stable color forever. Builders who want a warm orange tone that matches surrounding copper blocks without repainting later with an axe choose Waxed Copper Door.
