Warped Hanging Sign is the Nether-wood hanging variant of the Minecraft sign, placed underneath blocks or on a solid self-supporting bracket that lets the sign hang without any support below. One crafting recipe yields six Warped Hanging Signs from six stripped warped stems and two chains: a chain goes in each top corner of the crafting grid, and the stems fill the two rows beneath. Warped Hanging Sign breaks with any tool or with bare hands, works fastest with an axe, and stacks up to 16 per slot. Warped Hanging Sign is a transparent block, and flowing water never destroys a placed sign.

Using a placed Warped Hanging Sign opens the text editor, which fits up to four lines — a format made for short labels on Nether storage rooms, pathways, and points of interest. Dye tints Warped Hanging Sign, a Glow Ink Sac makes the text glow, and a regular Ink Sac reverts the glow. A Honeycomb waxes Warped Hanging Sign, and a waxed sign can never be edited again. Placement offers three forms: on a block side with the self-supporting bracket, under a wide block with parallel chains, or under a narrow block such as a chain in a 16-direction up-arrow form. Warped Hanging Sign never smelts items in a furnace, because only hanging signs made from Overworld logs work as fuel.
