Warped Fungus on a Stick is the steering tool for a saddled Strider, letting you ride safely across the Nether's lava on the lava-walking mob.
Description
Right-clicking while mounted gives the Strider a speed burst that lasts a random 7 to 49 seconds and consumes one durability point, so a fresh stick supports 100 boosts before it reverts to a plain fishing rod. Warped Fungus on a Stick lets players cross the Nether's vast lava oceans quickly and safely, making it key gear for Bastion Remnant raids and long Nether-roof travel. Holding Warped Fungus on a Stick also makes nearby Striders follow the player, and a worn stick is repaired by combining two damaged sticks on the crafting grid or grindstone (their durabilities add up, plus 5%), or on an anvil.
