Description

Sulfur is a vivid yellow block introduced in Minecraft 26.2 "Chaos Cubed" as the foundation of the new Sulfur Caves biome. Together with cinnabar, Sulfur replaces most of the stone in these small cave biomes. The caves generate deep underground, most often under flat terrain near swamps and deserts. Sulfur Caves are home to Sulfur Cubes — passive jumping mobs with 8 HP for a large cube. Sulfur Cubes absorb other full blocks such as planks or TNT. Sulfur Cubes never eat Sulfur, so natural deposits stay safe. Players mine Sulfur with any pickaxe. From the mined resource, players craft slabs, stairs, walls, polished forms, bricks, and chiseled variants. Four Sulfur Spikes craft into one Sulfur at a crafting table. Wandering traders sell two spikes for one emerald, making the resource renewable. The block is available without experiments since Java 26.2 and Bedrock 26.30. The saturated yellow tone makes Sulfur a striking accent for alchemy lab, volcanic ruin, and infernal builds.
