Description

Stripped Acacia Log is a vanilla Minecraft wood block obtained by right-clicking an Acacia Log with any axe, which peels off the bark and leaves a smooth, bark-free surface. Acacia trees grow naturally in savanna and windswept savanna biomes, so a single tree yields three to four logs ready to strip. Stripped Acacia Log has a hardness of 2 and a blast resistance of 2, stacks to 64, and works as furnace fuel — exactly like its unstripped counterpart. The visual difference is immediate: Stripped Acacia Log shows a clean orange-brown shaft with tidy ring ends, whereas a regular Acacia Log keeps the rough grey-brown bark. Stripped Acacia Log joined Minecraft in Java Edition 1.13 and Bedrock Edition 1.2.13.

The main use of Stripped Acacia Log is cleaner decoration and downstream crafting. Four Stripped Acacia Logs arranged in a 2x2 grid craft three Stripped Acacia Wood, a six-sided bark-free variant favored for modern pillars and smooth walls. Since Minecraft 1.20, Stripped Acacia Log is also a required ingredient for the Acacia Hanging Sign and Acacia Wall Hanging Sign, paired with a chain. Builders reach for Stripped Acacia Log whenever a warm orange wood without bark texture is needed — savanna outposts, desert temples, and minimalist contemporary builds all benefit from the tidy, ring-marked ends.

Guide

How to obtain a Stripped Acacia Log in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Find a savanna acacia tree

Travel to a savanna or windswept savanna biome, where acacia trees spawn with their flat canopies. Each acacia tree typically yields three to four Acacia Logs when chopped.

  2. 2

    Equip any axe

Place any axe (wooden, stone, iron, gold, diamond, or netherite) on your hotbar and select it. Any axe tier can strip a log, so even a wooden axe works on the first day.

  3. 3

    Right-click the Acacia Log

Right-click an Acacia Log block with the axe. The bark peels away instantly and one Stripped Acacia Log replaces the block, taking the axe one durability point.

  4. 4

    Harvest the Stripped Acacia Log

Mine the stripped block with the axe to collect it as an item. Stripped Acacia Log stacks to 64, so a full acacia tree gives enough for several crafting recipes.

  5. 5

    Optionally craft Stripped Acacia Wood

Place four Stripped Acacia Logs in a 2x2 grid to produce three Stripped Acacia Wood, a six-sided bark-free variant useful for smooth pillars and clean modern walls.

Tip

Right-click stripping works only on the block face, not in a crafting grid, so a Stripped Acacia Log cannot be crafted from ingredients — only produced by axe interaction.

Frequently asked questions

Can you craft a Stripped Acacia Log from ingredients?

No. A Stripped Acacia Log is not made in a crafting grid. Right-click an Acacia Log block with any axe and the bark peels away, producing one Stripped Acacia Log in place.

Is Stripped Acacia Log renewable?

Yes. Acacia trees grow from acacia saplings, which drop from acacia leaves, so a player can plant and harvest acacia logs endlessly and strip each one into a Stripped Acacia Log.

Does Stripped Acacia Log burn or work as fuel?

Yes. As a wooden block, Stripped Acacia Log catches fire from lava and flame, and it smelts 1.5 items per log when used as furnace fuel, the same value as any other log.

What version of Minecraft added Stripped Acacia Log?

Stripped Acacia Log was added in Java Edition 1.13 (the Update Aquatic) and Bedrock Edition 1.2.13, alongside the stripped variants of all other wood types.

What can you craft from Stripped Acacia Log?

Four Stripped Acacia Logs in a 2x2 grid craft three Stripped Acacia Wood. Since Minecraft 1.20, Stripped Acacia Log is also a required ingredient for the Acacia Hanging Sign and the Acacia Wall Hanging Sign.
