How to craft and use a Stone Sword in Minecraft
-
1
Gather materials
Mine at least two cobblestone with any pickaxe and make a stick from two wooden planks placed one above the other.
-
2
Open a crafting table
Open the 3x3 crafting table grid; the 2x2 inventory grid cannot make a Stone Sword.
-
3
Place the pattern
Put one cobblestone in the top cell and one in the middle of the same column, then a stick directly below to get a Stone Sword.
-
4
Enchant or repair
Use an enchanting table or anvil for Sharpness, Smite, or Unbreaking, and an anvil with cobblestone to restore durability.
In both Java and Bedrock you can craft a Stone Sword from cobblestone, blackstone, or cobbled deepslate — all three count as stone-tier crafting material.
