Description

Snow Block is crafted from four snowballs in a ２×２ recipe, making Snow Block the compact storage and building form of snow in Minecraft. Snow Block also generates naturally in cold mountain biomes such as snowy slopes, groves, jagged peaks, and frozen peaks. A shovel mines Snow Block fastest; without Silk Touch, Snow Block drops four snowballs, while Silk Touch returns the block itself.

Snow Block is useful for igloos, winter roofs, arctic terrain, and bright white decorative builds that need a softer texture than white concrete or quartz. Two Snow Blocks stacked vertically with a carved pumpkin, pumpkin, or jack o'lantern on top create a snow golem. Snow Block does not melt like thin snow layers, so Snow Block is the stable choice for permanent snowy structures.
