Description
Redstone Block is the compressed storage form of the dust that powers Minecraft's electrical world. The recipe is straightforward: nine pieces of redstone dust arranged in a 3×3 grid produce one block, and conversely, the block uncrafts back into nine dust on the crafting grid — a perfect-loss-free way to compact resources for transport between bases.
What makes this block more than a storage device is its electrical behaviour: when placed, it emits a permanent signal of strength fifteen in all directions, the same as a powered redstone torch. This makes it ideal for compact circuits where a constant signal is needed but space is tight, such as inside compact pulse generators, redstone clocks, and contraptions where running a separate torch would interfere with adjacent components. The block is also pushable by pistons, which opens up moveable-power-source designs.
