Description

Red Candle is a red dyed candle made by combining one plain Candle and one Red Dye on the crafting grid. Red Candle belongs to a family of sixteen dyed candle colors and generates naturally in trial chambers and inside suspicious gravel at trail ruins. A placed Red Candle starts dark, and flint and steel, a fire charge, or any flaming projectile sets the wick alight. One burning Red Candle gives light level 3, every extra candle of the same color in the same block space adds 3 more, and a full stack of four reaches light level 12 while shedding fire particles.

Red Candle suits dining tables, altars, and nether-themed halls where a torch would break the red palette. Red Candle requires a solid block underneath, so chests and cobwebs cannot hold candles, and only same-color candles share one block space. Red Candle stacks to 64 in an inventory and counts as a renewable resource. Builders pair Red Candle with dark oak, nether brick, and blackstone for dramatic lighting, because candles never catch fire.
