Pink Concrete Powder is a gravity-affected building block that any touch of water converts into Pink Concrete. With a non-solid block underneath, Pink Concrete Powder falls exactly like sand. Jeb's reveal tweet of February 2017 showed a pink gravity-obeying block turning solid on water contact — the first public look at concrete powder. The crafting recipe is shapeless: 4 sand, 4 gravel, and 1 pink dye in any arrangement produce 8 Pink Concrete Powder blocks, and red sand cannot replace ordinary sand. A shovel breaks Pink Concrete Powder fastest, though any tool or an empty hand also works; a full stack holds 64 blocks.

Water is the trigger: Pink Concrete Powder placed into water, set beside flowing or source water, or dropped into water hardens into Pink Concrete. In Java Edition, waterlogged blocks such as stairs also convert neighboring Pink Concrete Powder, but only from sides where water can flow out. Pink Concrete Powder is fully renewable: Piglins barter gravel, Wandering Traders sell sand in limited amounts, and harvesting naturally occurring sand remains the simplest supply. Builders crafting bright pink floors mix batch after batch, drop each batch of Pink Concrete Powder into a pool, and collect the Pink Concrete that forms.
