Description

Orange Wool Slab is the orange variant of the wool slab, a half-height block that yields six slabs from three orange wool blocks placed in one crafting-grid row. Wool slabs were announced at Minecraft Live on May 30, 2026, added to Java Edition in version 26.3, and reached Bedrock Edition in the 26.40 previews before full implementation in 26.50. Orange Wool Slab breaks with any tool, shears work fastest against the 0.8 hardness, and the block has 0.8 blast resistance in Java Edition. Wool slabs are a renewable resource, stack to 64, and any wool slab recolors into another color with dye the same way wool itself is re-dyed.

Orange Wool Slab blocks vibrations: placed between a sculk sensor and a vibration source, the wool slab cuts the signal, and sculk sensors and wardens cannot detect walking, sprinting, or jumping on wool slabs. In Java Edition, Orange Wool Slab also works as furnace fuel, smelting 0.25 items per slab, which means four slabs per smelted item. Wool slabs burn at flammability 30, vanish in lava, and resist explosions weakly, so keep fire away from orange builds. Wool slabs are also a crafting ingredient for cushions, giving Orange Wool Slab a place in soft, quiet interiors.
