Orange Stained Glass Pane is a thin, transparent block dyed orange — a more material-efficient alternative to solid stained glass in windows. The crafting recipe arranges eight glass panes around one orange dye and yields eight Orange Stained Glass Panes; six orange stained glass blocks convert into sixteen panes. A placed pane drops nothing unless the tool carries Silk Touch (an enchantment that makes a block drop itself), and every tool mines stained glass panes at the same speed because the panes have no assigned tool. Orange Stained Glass Pane also generates in the temples of savanna villages.

Orange Stained Glass Pane stretches orange glass further than solid blocks: sixteen panes from six stained glass blocks equal 2 2/3 panes per block, so a pane window covers up to 267% of the area of the same window built from stained glass. Placed panes join neighboring blocks and change shape, standing as a thin 2×2-pixel post when isolated, and stained glass panes never lie horizontally — flat orange skylights require stained glass blocks. Water can occupy the same block space as Orange Stained Glass Pane (waterlogging), a beacon beam changes color when shining through the pane, and up to 64 panes stack in one inventory slot. Two Orange Stained Glass Panes with one empty block between them leave a two-block gap wide enough for spiders.
