Description
Orange Shulker Box earns a place in logistics: a hopper fills and empties shulker boxes automatically, the orange shade flags specific cargo in a storage wall, and a piston push pops any shulker box off as a single item with the load intact. The orange dye is reversible: using the Orange Shulker Box on a cauldron holding water removes the dye, costs one water level, and returns the plain shulker box with the same contents.

Place two shulker shells in the top and bottom cells of the middle crafting column and one chest in the center cell; the grid yields one plain shulker box.

Combine the shulker box with one orange dye on the crafting grid; the result is one Orange Shulker Box, and items kept inside survive the recoloring.

Fill the box and carry the load
Load all 27 slots, then mine the Orange Shulker Box with any tool — the pickaxe works fastest; the box drops as a single item with the full inventory inside and can be placed again anywhere.

Wash the orange dye off
Use the Orange Shulker Box on a cauldron filled with water; the cauldron loses one water level, the dye disappears, and the plain shulker box keeps the contents.

No. A shulker box never fits inside another shulker box; chests and most other containers accept a shulker box.

Do shulker boxes survive explosions?
Yes. Unlike most blocks with an inventory, shulker boxes always drop themselves when destroyed by explosions, contents included.
