Netherite Boots are the highest-tier foot armor in Minecraft, introduced in the 1.16 Nether Update. You cannot craft them directly. Instead you upgrade Diamond Boots at a Smithing Table using one Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template and one Netherite Ingot, with the template becoming mandatory in version 1.20. Each Netherite Ingot needs four Netherite Scrap, smelted from Ancient Debris mined in the Nether, combined with four Gold Ingots. Netherite Boots give 3 armor points, the same defense as Diamond Boots, but add 1 extra armor toughness and 10% knockback resistance, plus higher durability at 481 uses.
