Description

Magenta Bundle is the magenta-dyed version of the Bundle, a storage item that keeps up to a stack's worth of mixed item types inside one inventory slot. Two recipes build a Magenta Bundle: 1 String placed directly above 1 Leather crafts a plain Bundle, and a shapeless combination of any bundle with 1 Magenta Dye applies the magenta color. Dyed bundles joined the game in Java 1.21.2 and Bedrock 1.21.40, and plain Bundles also appear in village chests from Java 1.21.5 onward, ready for dyeing. The Magenta Bundle counts as a common, renewable item, so replacing a lost one costs only string, leather, and dye.

The Magenta Bundle offers 64 bundle slots of space: an item that stacks to 64 occupies 1 slot, an item that stacks to 16, such as an egg, occupies 4 slots, and a single non-stackable sword fills the entire Magenta Bundle. Mixing item types works freely — 32 sticks plus 8 eggs fill exactly 64 slots — and a blue fullness bar on the icon tracks the fill level, turning red when the Magenta Bundle is completely full. Using a selected Magenta Bundle in the hotbar throws the most recently added group of items in the direction the player faces.

How to craft and use a Magenta Bundle in Minecraft

    Craft a plain Bundle

    Place 1 String directly above 1 Leather on a crafting grid; this two-ingredient recipe yields 1 Bundle.

    Dye the Bundle magenta

    Put the Bundle and 1 Magenta Dye anywhere on the crafting grid; the shapeless recipe returns 1 Magenta Bundle and recolors bundles dyed another color.

    Fill the Magenta Bundle

    Pick up the Magenta Bundle and left-click items in the inventory screen to insert them; picking up items and left-clicking the Magenta Bundle works the same way.

    Take items back out

    Hover over the Magenta Bundle and right-click to pull out the most recently added item; scroll the mouse wheel to select an earlier item before retrieving it.

Bundles and Shulker Boxes

Shulker Boxes never fit inside bundles, but bundles fit inside Shulker Boxes; pack the Magenta Bundle into a Shulker Box when moving storage between bases.
