Magenta Bed
Magenta Bed lets a player skip the night and set a respawn point (where you reappear after death) in bright magenta tones.
Description
Magenta Bed works only in the Overworld: using a bed in the Nether or the End triggers an explosion of power 5 — stronger than TNT at power 4. Sleeping in Magenta Bed fails while a monster stands within 8 blocks horizontally and 5 blocks vertically of the head block. Three in-game days without entering any bed let phantoms spawn over the player, and sleeping in Magenta Bed resets that count. Villagers claim beds at night, need spare beds to produce offspring, and a bed near a zombie villager speeds up curing. Falling onto Magenta Bed bounces living entities at 75% of the impact velocity and cuts the fall distance to 50% — slightly less than half the normal fall damage.

Gather 1 bed of any color and 1 magenta dye, or 3 magenta wool and 3 planks of any wood type.

Place 3 magenta wool in the middle row of a crafting table and 3 planks in the bottom row, or combine the bed with the magenta dye; both recipes yield 1 Magenta Bed.

Place Magenta Bed on 2 floor blocks
Set the bed on 2 free floor blocks — the head lands on the block farther from the player. Bedrock Edition also requires solid blocks below the bed.

Sleep at night or during a thunderstorm
Use Magenta Bed once the sky darkens; monsters within 8 blocks horizontally or 5 blocks vertically of the head block cancel sleeping. Once every player in the Overworld lies in a bed, the night skips to sunrise.

Save the respawn point
Enter Magenta Bed once to store the respawn point — chat shows 'Respawn point set'; a missing or obstructed bed returns the player to the world spawn after death.
A piston pushing Magenta Bed destroys the bed instantly, and sticky pistons cannot pull the bed — keep redstone contraptions away from the bedroom.

Sleeping opens only at night or during a thunderstorm. Daytime use still sets the respawn point without sleeping.
Does sleeping in Magenta Bed clear the weather?
Sleeping resets the weather to clear conditions. In Java Edition the weather cycle resets only during rain or snow.
What happens when another player occupies Magenta Bed?
A sleeping player blocks the bed with the message 'This bed is occupied'. A sleeping villager gets kicked out of the bed when a player enters the same bed.
Can lava destroy Magenta Bed?
