Description
In survival worlds, Light Blue Carpet works as mob-proof flooring: the thin hitbox has stopped mobs spawning on carpets since Java 1.8. Light Blue Carpet is opaque, yet light passes through undimmed, so a carpet laid over a floor light source hides the lamp while the room stays bright. Llamas carry Light Blue Carpet in a dedicated carpet slot, and every carpet color renders its own patterned rug on the llama's back. On Java Edition, a single Light Blue Carpet even fuels a furnace for 0.335 smelting operations.

Can endermen teleport onto a double layer of Light Blue Carpet?
No. Endermen cannot teleport onto two stacked carpet layers, and on Java Edition mobs that walk onto double carpet spin in place and abandon their pathfinding.
Do sculk sensors detect movement on Light Blue Carpet?
No. Like wool, carpets dampen vibrations: placing or breaking Light Blue Carpet, walking on one, or tossing an item onto one creates no vibration.
