Fermented Spider Eye cannot be found in chests or dropped by mobs, so every Fermented Spider Eye in Minecraft starts with a Spider Eye looted from spiders, cave spiders, or witches. The dark, mottled purple texture sets Fermented Spider Eye apart from the plain red Spider Eye it comes from.
