Crafting Exposed Copper Grate takes four Exposed Copper blocks arranged in a cross pattern across the top, left, right, and bottom of the crafting grid. The crafting grid yields four Exposed Copper Grate at once. A stonecutter turns a single Exposed Copper block into four Exposed Copper Grate without a crafting table. As oxidation sets in, Exposed Copper Grate's copper tone dulls and small green spots spread across the perforated pattern, placing it one step past the shiny orange Copper Grate and one step before the green-and-brown Weathered Copper Grate.

Exposed Copper Grate stays fully see-through, so light and mob sightlines pass through the perforated pattern while the copper texture still reads as a solid wall or floor from a distance.
