Description
Deepslate Bricks are produced from four polished deepslate blocks arranged in a 2×2 grid, yielding four bricks — the same one-to-one conversion that runs throughout the deepslate refinement chain. The texture is the iconic interlocking offset masonry pattern, sized so that each visual brick is roughly half a block tall and two-thirds wide, identical in proportion to the lighter Overworld stone bricks but in a much darker palette.
For builders, this material is the workhorse of dark architecture. It reads as worked masonry from any distance, suggests ancient or fortified construction without further detailing, and looks equally at home on castle exteriors, mountain fortresses, and underground tunnels. The full variant set is available — slabs, stairs, walls — plus a smelted cracked variant for aged or ruined sections. A single block in a stonecutter produces one of any compatible refined variant, allowing direct conversion without going through the brick-then-tiles chain manually.
