Description

Deepslate Brick Slab is the half-height version of Deepslate Bricks, added to Minecraft in Java Edition 1.17 and Bedrock Edition 1.17.0. The crafting recipe arranges three Deepslate Bricks in one horizontal row and yields six Deepslate Brick Slabs, while a stonecutter turns one Deepslate Bricks, Polished Deepslate, Cobbled Deepslate or Deepslate block into two slabs. Deepslate Brick Slab also generates naturally as a built-in part of ancient cities, a layout added in Java Edition 1.19 and Bedrock 1.18.30.

Deepslate Brick Slab must be mined with a pickaxe — a wooden pickaxe already qualifies — and drops nothing when broken without a pickaxe. Waterlogging lets a placed Deepslate Brick Slab share its block space with a water source. Deepslate Brick Slab is not renewable, not flammable and stacks to 64 per inventory slot. With hardness 3.5 and blast resistance 6, Deepslate Brick Slab suits survival bases that need smooth layered floors and stairs.
