Description

Brown Bundle is the brown-dyed variant of the Bundle, an item that stores up to a stack's worth of mixed item types in a single inventory slot. Brown Bundle measures space by stack size: an item that stacks to 64 takes 1/64 of the space, an item that stacks to 16, such as Eggs and Ender Pearls, takes 1/16, and an unstackable item such as an Iron Sword takes the whole bundle. Brown Bundle itself does not stack.

Brown Bundle is crafted by combining any Bundle with one Brown Dye in the crafting grid, and a plain Bundle comes from one String and one Leather. Brown Bundle can sit inside another bundle, where it costs 1/16 of the space plus the space its contents take, and can also be stored in a Shulker Box, while a Shulker Box can never go inside a bundle. Each of the 16 dye colors gives a bundle that is recognizable at a glance, so Brown Bundle works as a labeled pouch for one category of items.

How to make and use Brown Bundle in Minecraft

    Craft a Bundle

    String goes directly above Leather in the same column of the crafting grid, which produces a plain Bundle.

    Dye the Bundle brown

    Any Bundle and one Brown Dye in the crafting grid produce Brown Bundle.

    Insert items

    In an inventory screen, the cursor picks up items and a left-click on Brown Bundle places them inside.

    Take an item out

    With an empty cursor over Brown Bundle, the scroll wheel selects an item and a right-click moves it to the cursor.

    Throw out the contents

    Brown Bundle selected in the hotbar and used throws out one group of items at a time.

Read the fullness bar

Hovering over Brown Bundle shows a blue fullness bar that grows as items go in, and a red bar means Brown Bundle is full.

Can Brown Bundle be dyed another color?

Yes. Brown Bundle combined with a dye of another color in the crafting grid gives a bundle in that color, but in Java Edition Brown Dye cannot dye a bundle that is already brown.
