Description
Wolf Armor is applied by using the item on a tamed wolf, which then wears a visible armored coat that absorbs incoming hits. Wolf Armor loses durability as the wolf takes damage and shows cracks as it wears down, but it is repaired by using more armadillo scutes on the armored wolf. Players can dye Wolf Armor any color with a dye and wash the color out again in a cauldron, while shears remove the armor entirely and drop it back. Wolf Armor is the practical choice for keeping a combat or escort wolf alive against creepers, skeletons, and other hostile mobs.

Wolf Armor cannot be enchanted, and shears are the only way to remove it without harming the wolf. A cauldron washes off any dye and returns the armor to its default look.
