Description

White Bundle is a dyed, purely cosmetic variant of the Bundle added to Minecraft in the Bundles of Bravery drop (Java Edition 1.21.2, Bedrock Edition 1.21.40). The recipe is shapeless: one Bundle plus one White Dye in any crafting grid yields one White Bundle. Capacity, nesting behaviour, and item interaction are identical to a plain Bundle, so the white stripe on the icon is the only practical difference. A White Bundle stores up to one full stack's worth of mixed items inside a single inventory slot, which makes the item a favourite for organizing long mining trips and cluttered storage systems. Items that stack to 64 fill 1/64 of capacity each, items that stack to 16 fill 1/16, and a fully unstackable item such as a sword consumes the entire White Bundle. Right-click (use) inserts items, and right-clicking inside an inventory dumps the contents back out. Bundles can be nested inside other bundles, but shulker boxes cannot be placed inside any bundle. White Dye is renewable from Bone Meal or Lily of the Valley, and a Bundle can be recoloured any time, so White Bundle is fully renewable. The clean white stripe is the easiest visual cue for sorting building blocks, so colour-code storage columns by dyeing one Bundle per material group.

Guide

How to craft and use a White Bundle in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Gather the ingredients

A White Bundle needs one plain Bundle and one White Dye, both renewable and easy to stockpile in survival Minecraft.

  2. 2

    Craft the White Bundle

Place one Bundle and one White Dye anywhere on a crafting grid; the shapeless recipe outputs one White Bundle.

  3. 3

    Insert items

Right-click (use) the White Bundle with an item in hand to push items into the bundle's single inventory slot.

  4. 4

    Dump the contents

Right-click the White Bundle while the cursor is inside an inventory to empty all stored items back into the grid.

  5. 5

    Colour-code storage

Dye multiple bundles different colours so each White Bundle marks one material group in the storage room.

Tip

A White Bundle holds the same capacity as a plain Bundle; only the icon's white stripe changes, so use colour purely to organize inventory columns.

Frequently asked questions

How do you craft a White Bundle in Minecraft?

Place one Bundle and one White Dye anywhere on a crafting grid; the shapeless recipe outputs one White Bundle. The recipe works on any crafting table or the 2x2 player inventory grid.

Is a White Bundle different from a plain Bundle?

Only visually. A White Bundle has the same storage capacity, nesting behaviour, and item interaction as a plain Bundle; the white stripe on the icon is purely a cosmetic colour tag for inventory organization.

How much does a White Bundle hold?

A White Bundle holds up to one stack's worth of mixed items in a single inventory slot. Items that stack to 64 use 1/64 of capacity, items that stack to 16 use 1/16, and a single unstackable item such as a sword fills the entire White Bundle.

Can you put a bundle or a shulker box inside a White Bundle?

Bundles can be nested inside a White Bundle, but shulker boxes cannot be placed inside any bundle. Nesting bundles is a common way to compress organized kits inside one inventory slot.

Which Minecraft version added the White Bundle?

Dyed bundles including the White Bundle became a full feature in Java Edition 1.21.2 and Bedrock Edition 1.21.40, released as the Bundles of Bravery drop on October 22, 2024.

Is the White Bundle renewable?

Yes. A Bundle can be recoloured with White Dye at any time, and White Dye is renewable from Bone Meal or Lily of the Valley, so White Bundle is fully renewable.
